Neue Schule bits are made with Neue Schule Salox® Gold which is a high copper alloy used for its high thermal conductivity and anti-tarnishing properties; Salox® Gold quickly reaches body temperature and so encourages relaxation and acceptance of the bit.

The Neue Schule Tranz Angled Lozenge Universal features the Tranz Angled Lozenge which is set at a unique 20º angle that activates more feel over the tongue. The lozenge contours to the thicker, less sensitive part of the horse's tongue allowing clear and defined aids to be given through the reins without abusing the tongue or interfering with the palate.

The bit is slightly curved so it takes up less room between the tongue and the upper palate; the oval profile subtly depresses the horse's tongue and allows for a larger upper airway which enhances the horse's ability to breathe and swallow more easily.

The Neue Schule Tranz Angled Lozenge Universal offers control without discomfort or severity. It is brilliant for faster work such as jumping and cross country riding as you can turn much more easily and it generally eliminates the head toss when asking for a downward transition. The NS Tranz Angled Lozenge Universal is the ideal bit to upgrade to from a snaffle as the mouthpiece stays the same but pressure points are subtly applied.

There are four main rein options including the curb strap and pelham roundings: single reins can be attached to the main ring or the lower ring if more control is needed, bit roundings/pelham roundings can be used on both rings to give a combination of control or double reins can be attached to both the main and the lower ring for the more accomplished rider.
